You can buy the metal straps made for the oxy acetylene tanks that would keep a clean look.

Looks good Walter! Wouldn't take hard left turns LOL You could add some 1/4" strap to the skids and never look back if needed.

Haven't finished the bottle mount yet. I decided on a design and can not find the latches I want. Most people just use a piece of chain but I have and idea that will hold then with tension. Stay tuned.

You got it. Still trying to figure out where to get a set at a decent price. I have a ton of them on all my boom lifts at work that lock the arms together for transport and they work great. They also haveadjustments in them so it would work great for the long run.

Found them on amazon for a good price so went ahead and ordered two of them and a fire extingusher.

These are the latches I have been looking for. Won't be here till sometime next week so I will have to work on some of the other things till then.

Turn buckle attached to chain.

That's what I have holding the Argon tank to my TIG welder.

What is your thoughts on the lifting point? Gusset the arm and rock on or do you have a better idea.

Yes gusset that arm.

And when you do lift it, plan on running a chain through that D ring and the lifting eye on the welder. The square tubing the D ring is mounted to isnt going to carry everything without getting bent or broken.

The welder weighs 500 pounds alone.

Waiting on a few pieces to show up so I can finish. Went to run the welder today after I got some more gas and it wouldn't start. Had to pull the carb and fuel selonid and clean them up as there was some old gas and varnish from it sitting so long. Easy fix and have it running now with some more fuel cleaner and good gas to clear it all out. Got it charging one of my scissor lifts to run a load on it.

Maybe new fuel lines, a fuel filter, and find some ethanol free gas.

I hate ethanol!

The ethanol fuel is good for one thing, it cleans gunk out. Ive never had a problem with it in anything but my weed eater.

Have all ready changed the oil, filter, and fuel filter. Have a good tank of gas and lucas fuel treatment in it now and ran it for a few hours this morning will continue to run it a bit each day to help clean it out and it should get better. Just went to the LWS and ordered a lead reel cause I am lazy and don't want to build it. Price wasn't the best but not the worst either so we will see how it works. Should be in Monday hopefully Tuesday I can get everything finished up and tore back apart to paint it.

Latches came in today. Not my best work but it will do. Should have done a better job but the only way I had to cut this eight inch pipe is with a torch and I'm not the best free hand so all the tank holder are not the straightest.

The other problem I had is the oxy tank is a little bigger than my pipe also. So I had to add a piece onto this one to make it go all the way around the tank. Doesn't look the best but hopefully paint will help hide it.

That's all for today. The lead reel should be in tomorrow and hopefully I can get that on. Then have to build a hanger for the oxy hose. Add a tool box little bit of finish work then paint.
