I love my 650, but it is not perfect and takes a little learning curve. There are upgrades that you will come to recognize as handy and gains in efficiency in accuracy. SAAMI, forums, youtube and reloading mentors are worth their weight in gold.

Guys,
I have the dies and she'll holders for all the calibers I would load. If I purchase a Dillon 550 will I be able to set it up and go to work or am I going to need to order more equipment in order to use it for loading pistol ammo?
Thanks,

Provided that you already have the basics like a caliper and scale then yes. The Dillon press does not use shell holders.

You should be able to. Realize it will not have a case feeder.
Check out ultimate reloaded they have some great videos

You may need a caliber conversion kit. These loaders use shell plates
I am team red so don't know as much about team blue

This is from Dillons web site.
"To change calibers, you will need: Die set Caliber conversion kit
If you want to leave your dies preset, you'll need: Toolhead (#13909) and a Powder die (#20064) OR The 550B Quick Change (#22058),which includes a powder measure, powder die, toolhead and a toolhead stand. This allows you to leave your dies and powder charge set up and dedicated to a specific cartridge for faster, easier caliber changes."

I have a seperate tool head complete with powder drop for each caliber I load for. It's not necessary but it saves substantial setup time.
