Dang, a lot folks know Georgetown. That's where I live.

You guys got all of the good ones. Gumbo's and 600 degrees are my two top favorites. If you go to Catfish Parlor, the spicy fried oysters are the best thing they have. And their beer is cold.

600 degrees has great beer as well. Pizza is awesome.

Andice General Store is worth the drive for a burger and atmosphere. Mariachi's has some solid Mexican breakfast.

Sierria Nevada, in my opinion, is the best breakfast in Georgetown

Dos Salsa's is a white mans mexican food

Is Sierra Nevada's the place right there at Williams & Austin Ave?

If so, yeah, that place is pretty good too.

the little house to the south side of Fox Auto??? We have eaten lunch there (pretty good old style beef enchiladas) but never breakfast. We always hit El Charito when taking that path.

I use to live out in weir, but moved to Leander a couple years ago...but I grew up in this area, so I'm pretty familiar with it all, I use to love going to L&M Cafe with my dad and the "old guys" when I was a kid roflmao

talk about an old style greasy spoon!!! I used to go there with my dad back in the mid '60s, then they moved to where Dos Salsas is now (that was originally a Dairy Queen). I don't know if Leander has the port butts on sale.

I'm located about 4-5 north-northeast of G'town, basically halfway between G'town & Walburg. Let us not forget the Chuckwagon & Dairy Hill when remembering greasy spoons of the past grin

I remember the chuckwagon, where was dairy hill? There was also a place called Archie's (might have been chuckwagon before) on the NW corner of Williams & IH35.

guess we are digressing from giving current places bang ... back on topic

Dairy Hill was where Papa Johns is now on Austin Ave(35-40 yrs ago). I vaguely remember Archie's & you might be right on it's location, kinda foggy for me. I too am sorry for drifting from current topic

Wildfire for dinner

Of the places I've been to , Wildfire has kicked the dog crap out of all the places I've been. I had an excellent steak but the menu could be tried every day. I would definetly go again.
