I've killed more birds with my 870 using the plain old Remington full choke and a 4x6 copper plated Rem shells than any high dollar choke/shell combo.

If you are good with the call and can get them inside of 30 yards, you can drop them with pretty much whatever combo you are shooting. Full choke, turkey specific load. About 40 yards is the farthest anyone should be shooting turkeys at anyway.

The ONLY load needed for turkeys

I handload my own high density (18g/cc shot) turkey loads that allows me to get patterns at 80 yds similar to #4 lead at 40 yds.

I used to shoot Nitros 7s -- since they are the best patterning commercial loads available -- but that was before I got the 18g/cc load situated.

But Nitros have the best patterning turkey loads commercially available, no doubt.
