Guess we will find out. Just cut a deal on a boat with a surface drive on it I highly doubt you will regret it. What did you get?

What did you get? 1854 with a mud buddy 5500 Since you made your mind up and already pulled the trigger, I will give you some advice. I have a Gatortrax/Mudbuddy also. Get Hydroturf, hands down it's worth the money, the other cheap copy cat stuff is not even close. Get a gun box, at least one if not one on each side, mine are used for guns on one side, the other holds all my gear, shells, gloves, food, and Mojo decoys. Also get a half box in the back to sit on while you drive. It also holds 5 lifejackets, fire ext., tools, gps, and float cushion, I rarely ever open it, all stays dry. I have hunters ride on the end of the gun boxes too to free up the middle of the boat. Front deck extension is also nice to store stuff under. Also get led running lights either aftermarket of from Gatortrax, hands down better than regular lights. Do not know if you opted for a hunt deck but if you run a lot of timber I would change my mind. I know it's the "IN" thing right now but not a good idea for Northeast Texas. Other than that, have fun and enjoy.

Looks like Mudbuddy just updated their website to include the new Briggs Vanguard 37 EFI motors just like Prodrive and Gatortail have. Not a bad deal for only $500 more, also includes a BPS Q exhaust. EFI on these motors could be very nice.

Seems like the vanguard is what keeps Briggs in buisness. Never had trouble out of my little guy.. The duals had issues for me but ended up just being a carb on one dragging the other down. So when do you get it?
