I got to where I could consistently hit a balloon at 100yds with my Ruger SP101 .357mag with 4.2" barrel. Have video of it somewhere... Here is my video, click to watch in photobucket Also, Jerry holds the world record for fastest revolver 12 shots on target. Shoot 6, reload, shoot 6 in under 3 seconds!!!! Edit: here is the video

Jerry is awesome. I was fortunate enough to meet him and chat for about 30 minutes before he shot a stage I was working at the Larue Multigun Championship a few years ago. For a man with such an incredible talent, he is very, very humble. His daughter Lena is incredibly polite too, and boy can she shoot!
I also buy all my 45acp/9mm bullets from Bayou Bullets, which is owned by Jerry's brother Donnie. He makes a great product and is an awesome guy to do business with. I met Jerry, Lena and Kay at a match a couple of years ago and he was very approachable and a pretty funny guy. He is the real deal. .

I sat one night and watched a ton of his videos. That dude is amazing. Ahh I can do better!!! In all seriousness, people tell me I'm a liar when i tell them I've shot and hit a 4'x4' bard with regularity (approx 5 out of 8 shots) with my 1911 and glock 40 before. It's not impossible once you get dialed in. he hit center of that balloon. that was awesome! To me it looked like he didn't really hit the balloon. Looking at where the balloon is on the target and where the spot is on the metal plate afterwards, I would say a fragment from the bullet broke the balloon. Not to say he couldn't hit it, just looks like the impact is too far from where the balloon was to have hit the balloon. If you arent impressed with that shot then I dont know what to say. That is an unbelievable shot.
GO TRUMP!

I'd like to know how the recoil is managed...that barrel does not move up and he does not move back hardly at all...

The muzzle brake is controlling most of the recoil and muzzle movement. It directs the gasses out of the muzzle equally in several directions so that they counteract each other canceling unwanted directional movement..that and Jerry has mastered shooting form.

I really do think I could do that. 5-10 yards. Keeping on target is more than doable with that big !@#$ break. I doubt it. When I am hitting splits really well with my AR I am around .15, and that is with a JP comp. Six shots in one second figures to about .17 splits, and that is not counting the time it takes to go from low-ready to get on target. Things change a lot when you go from aimlessly yanking the trigger to making sure it hits paper.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.
