So some more info on this hunt. Property belongs to a friend of mine. He picked me up this morning at 2:30 and we made the 3 1/2 hour drive to Medina County from Houston. Got there around 6:30, and I got into the stand around 7:00. The feeder went off around 7:30 and the buck showed up about 10 minutes later. He was giving me some good broadside opportunities, but I couldn't keep the crosshairs steady. Don't think it was buck fever either. Anyway, the buck moves out of view so I set up my tripod and wait. Shortly he is back in view and it is a matter of waiting for the proper shot, hold my breath, squeeze the trigger, boom. Buck DRT, quicks for a bit and the. Goes motionless. Lucky to have a friend that owns property as I probably wouldn't be hunting without that hook up.
Feel bad for him though as this is the third hunting season he has owned the property and he hasn't gotten a deer yet. Has it under contract to sell, and I'm not sure if he'll hunt again before the closing date. At least he is going to buy another property.

they get darker when it raining or wet. some times they dry out and lighten up some what. still a excellent deer 1st or fortieth congrats man. it never buck fever when i cant holdem steady eithe
