They all are are special but the first one Kacee shot over 150" and was on cover of Texas trophy hunter had to be the most special one.

I have it framed with story in my office.

Very impressive, BMD, all those deer on one wall.

But I gotta agree with the others....86 the TV. That's what a medium room is for.

A small bar setup is fine. A recliner and a few books are appropriate too. But a TV? Never ever.

When is your Africa stuff coming in? It would be neat if you would post a short video of a 360 degree circle of your trophy room when you get all the mounts on the wall. My lechwe from 2013 is still awaiting CITES approval, so all my 17 animals from that hunt are still stuck in RSA. I'm told that they'll ship in mid- to late- January. We'll see....

I like the framed picture of your daughter very much. Unfortunately, all 3 of my girls seemed to lose interest in hunting when they became aware of boys. They all still shoot with me on occasion--as do their significant others--but they don't hunt anymore. So, on my trophy room walls, I have a large sprinkling of framed prints and photos intermingled with my heads. It is a tasteful touch, I believe.

Giraffe will be complete possibly this month, the other heads are at Taxidermist. I understand having a seperate trophy room then I agree no tv, but I built mine as great room/trophy room because I enjoy sitting in room with the mounts every day and not a secluded room. All the other African heads have shipped to Tannery, the giraffe was tanned in Africa to insure no hair slippage not the greatest tan or easiest to work with but safest way to go there. When all complete will post panoramic I have an entire elevate wall for the Africa heads with track lighting as well. Could have spread out more but plan on adding many more over the next years and don't want to have to move heads every time we Add one. I know your room is awesome!

I was just funnin' ya about the TV. There is no place more personal than a guy's trophy room, and if the hunter wants a fully-functional organ-playing merry-go-round in the middle of the floor, that's his business and no one else's. It's all about creating the perfect setup that is most comfortable for YOU.

I've been in--and marveled at--a fair number of trophy rooms. More have TVs than not. Nearly all have a bar and easy chairs.

A friend's wife banished him from their bedroom due to his snoring; he found that the couch in his trophy room is more comfortable than he ever could have imagined. His trophy room is utilized to the fullest!

Congratulations on your trophy room. Mine is still in the dreaming stage, but hopefully it will happen this year. On the list of priorities, it's still at about number three.

How big is your room and are you hanging your mounts from the studs? Did you put plywood on the walls? I'm thinking 3/4 inch plywood on all the walls and going 12 feet tall.

I like your idea of grouping your animals. I also want to do the same thing. North American on one wall, Africa on another wall, Texas exotics on another and animals from other countries on the forth.

Thanks for posting, I'm looking forward to seeing more pics!!!

Eddie

Yes I used 3/4 plywood under sheet rock, was so nice to not look for a stud. I used real plywood not OSB that wall is 12 ft plate as well the opposite wall starts at 9 and goes up to 18.5 ft the end walls are 12 feet and I also use my office for mounts. Going exotics mainly in there with my elk, I have room so gotta start shooting again smile
