I see mature bucks at my feeder all the time. My place is small, only 54 acres but I have very little hunting pressure around me. Killed this one this year under my feeder. My biggest so far. And like so others, I had almost no deer on the place when I bought it, but now with food plots, water, and a feeder, I get a fair number. I'm in Bosque county near lake Whitney.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

I guess it depends on where, amount of pressure, and the set up...not very likely where i'm at, but they stand close enough when the doe are hot!

Deer will obviously become conditioned much differently on a tract being hunted by just one or two hunters who limit their scent with fewer hunts, than a tract where many hunters are taking shots during frequent hunts and keep the trails burnt up on their ATV's.

Yep, it's all about hunting pressure in some areas! We see some nice deer before season or away from the feeders once season starts. They know when all those scents and noise hits the woods, its's time to get elusive. I usually place a game camera away from the feeder with corn, but once the hogs find it, no more deer pics!
