Just talked to him he is fine will let him update when he gets back to camp was kinda worried about him since I couldn't get a hold of him but he is fine.

Ok no pigs came back to camp with me.

Found arrow that belonged to little pig. Already knew I had a bad shot on her but followed blood and found her bedded up right at dark. Shot her with my pistol and she took off into very thick brush. I know she is dead now but not sure I will be able to locate that same spot in morning to find her.

I started the search for big pig after that but did not find arrow or blood trail and not even sure where he ran. Lack of blood on that one does not surprise me though. What worries me is I don't even have a direction or confirmation of a hit on that one. I feel like I did get him but I don't like my odds of finding him based on lack of blood or a direction to work with. Due to low light and low flashlight batteries I only got to look for him maybe 5 minutes though. I honestly thought the blood I was following was the big one until I walked up on the little one.

Will do a grid search for that one in AM. I know they are just pigs but my confidence with that bow is shattered right now!!!!!

You will find em. I bet you get on some blood once you have enough light.

Hope you are right but that brush is so thick you basically have to step on them to find them. The big one is the one that I am worried about finding since I have nothing to go on. The little one I can find if I take the time to locate where I was when I fired with my pistol. The big one ain't going to bleed though. Seen pigs that size not bleed to many times with a rifle much less a bow.

Now my Beagle is sick. Been throwing up for last 3 hours and very slow . Called vet and going to see how she is by morning then might have to head back to Big D without even looking for pigs .

Going to go look for pigs at 9 am. I really think the big one is hit for sure now because unless I was just seeing things I am pretty sure I saw a loose fletching within 2' of the arrow I found. Didn't think much of it untill I just noticed all the fletchings are still in tack on the arrow I found.

I would almost bet you were following both pigs and just happened to find the small one first. that much blood from small pig and it wouldn't still be standing I would think.

Puppy ok today?

She ate a little but is still slow. The real test is can she keep what she ate down.

Sad thing is I was going to put her on the blood for experience even though I have a good idea where little pig is already.

3 hours of searching and all I have to show for it is a blood soaked fletching. Unbelievable!

WOW.

Just shot my Xbow to see if it's off. At 26 yards it's shooting about 3/4" high and half dollar groups all day long. So either I choked on the big pig or he is dead within 100 yards of the feeder in that thick stuff and I just can't find him. The little pig was a bit more difficult and the bad shot on that one didn't surprise me. Still can't believe with all that blood I didn't find her though.

Time to put the toy away now and break out the rifle now I guess.

Have a feeling Justin is gonna unleash some fury on some pigs this afternoon
