I'm looking for 6.5+ year old bucks that I would like to shoulder mount. Does not happen often under those criteria.

Those that knew me well from my days in college station would agree with that statement.

My list is, Is it an older buck? Would I mount him on the wall? And a possible third is, Is he bigger than the last buck I shot?

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Of course, if the buck is not that great...but THE SHOT would be BRAG WORTHY, you can also lower your NORMAL STANDARDS...Usually happens after a couple of BS beer/brag sessions around the campfire...

If I like him, I will rifle

Have no intention of shooting a deer only if I am going to mount it. It depends on the hunt, location, weapon, conditions, history, etc.
