A cooler in my box blind is a must. No such thing as a bad decision when you've had a few.

I guess you can color me a communist. I take my son with me and I'm not going to A) set that example for him B) tolerate others with a beer in one hand and a gun in another. H%ll I don't trust some people with a gun and no alcohol. I'm all for a cold one after but bad things happen more often when you push your luck.

Guns and alcohol don't mix, and I won't hunt with anybody that thinks they do.

Have not drank a beer while hunting in a long time. You can make some poor decision under the influence. Tell ME about it!...It does make the evening sit a tad more enjoyable, however.

In the stand nothing but green grizzly. There will be some cold shiner ready as soon as I get out though.

Beer is wonderful. Deer hunting is wonderful. But I just don't drink alcohol while hunting - it's not that I don't trust myself (though I don't think it's a good idea), I just don't even think about it. Too busy enjoying the outdoors. Hell sometimes I'm so excited to get to the lease I space bringing alcohol with me! But when I do and I'm done hunting I enjoy a few (k maybe a few plus some more) cocktails by the fire.
My botnet is bigger than yours.

Beer is wonderful. Deer hunting is wonderful. Drinking beer on an afternoon hunt is wonderful. X2 only reason I bought a Yeti roadie for the evening hunts.

Bottle water or Iced Tea...never any alcohol ....the 2 don't mix. Just like drinking and driving ,if you hurt or kill someone while under the influence (even if by accident ) you will and should be doing jail time... Now back at camp or home, that's a different story.

Alcohol and high-powered rifles don't mix. Period.

plenty of time for a cold one back at the camp. my Dad always waited, and I do the same. We will take a cooler when we fish offshore, but a limit of 2 cold ones each for the ride back to the dock.

I have in the past when I was younger and knew way more than I do now. But now I don't believe guns and drinking go together.
