I hear a lot of guys that want to "block" areas off from ducks... I'm not really sure I would want to do that on a private place that I'd be hunting every chance I get all season. You might find that if the birds lose some of their safe havens they will move on and your lake won't produce as well anymore. Not saying that this is what you're doing, I'm only saying that if you have a big place like this with hundreds of comfy birds- why not just rotate your setup with the wind directions and take a few birds here and there and leave the spots that they go to escape open? In my experience, a good sized decoy spread (motion is necessary) with some halfway decent calling will draw curious birds in the early hours and maybe a "suicide" group or two after the sun gets higher. Pair that with good shooting and you'll limit enough times to feel like a pro.

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.
