My daughters hunted with me for years. After they moved out I thought my 16 year dry spell without shooting a buck was over. Then my wife decided that she would like to go along. And as luck would have it, a big'o buck walks out for her and her crossbow. So its back to shooting does.  I feel that I have created a monster. She is killing antelope, turkeys, dove, ducks, my deer! But I do get to stay at hunting camp longer than I did.

Wish I could get my wife to go with me!!! Lease is 25mi from the house and she won't even go to help me fill the feeders!!!

I couldn't imagine bringing my old lady hunting. Lol Good luck though I can't remember the last time we had a woman at the lease that wasn't there for just purely entertainment.

My best advice, let her hunt at her own pace, mine hates morning hunts. So I let her sleep in and don't pressure her. Then last year she decided to hunt a morning and got a glimpse of a stud. Now she gets up earlier then me

Good advice there BoBo; mine equates hunting time to beach time, if you want to go, go, if you don't, don't;
Honestly, having a nicer camper and the occasional directv is not bad either; Like I said earlier, three times now she's gone to the field without me even being out somewhere. We never hunted together in the same blind until last year, when we did due to a full house during thanksgiving.
It's good times, and the money is no object anymore either, corn, protein, ammo, cameras, gas, food (we eat good at camp too).
One of her friends heard she was eating left overs from deer camp for lunch; the friend offered her part of her lunch instead, wife said thanks but she'd stick to the rib-eye...

My wife and next oldest daughter both took the hunters ed course and both want to hunt this year. It'll be a first for both of them. I'm really looking forward to it. I've got a very young daughter that has been out with me a couple of times already and she's ready for deer season. It's a great feeling that it's becoming a family thing now. Love it. My wife has gone many times, mostly as an observer. She has helped haul out more elk than some fellas will want to shoot and just last year decided to take a buck. A few years back she took a nice Tom, but she loves the camping and fishing so it works out just fine.
Just be careful if they start liking it too much, next thing ya know, she'll change her name to "Tiffany" and you'll take a back seat LOL

It's awesome when they understand the passion, and see it not just about killing a deer but time with great friends and family that's non replaceable!!! You're right about making them comfortable!! Mr buddy is a married saver! My wife loved helping me update the travel trailer also

Some of the best memories that I had hunting in a blind with my wife (1'st), had nothing to do with hunting.  Have fun  Be as quiet as you can & look down wind, be ready. Good luck.

My wife has a greater passion for hunting than I do. It's great. She now has her own stand and all equipment plus 4 wheeler. She does not like to sit with me. Says I'm too noisy and leave too early on the morning hunts. It's a wonderful thing. And it enables me. She told me this morning that I need to get some new boots because its going to be cold Saturday morning.

My wife loves to try and get one better than my best buck and it is great setting with her and seeing that shakey smileing face after the shot when she gets one ......it never gets old

My wife is going with me also, she will just be able to shoot a doe on our lease but shes excited to shoot one. I think the other people on our lease might be mad if she shoots a doe at daybreak and scares off deer at their feeders but oh well I guess. I'm excited she is going and I hope she really enjoys it.
