Small World! I drew in U-61 in 2009 and took a respectable 315 bull above Pickett Creek with T.J. Clark. Since all of the access into the public areas of 61 requires crossing private ranches through several locked gates, I had to pay a rancher a trespass fee to cross his land. That seems un-American to me since I (along with 300 million other US citizens) own the land I was trying to get to. It was worth it, I guess.....spotted a 190-class mule deer the first day and scored on a nice 6x6:   Congrats again on your fine bull! Pickett Creek (or Crick as they pronounce it) is awesome! Last season I was hunting up there and we were on a herd of about 400 head. Missed a very nice bull that day in some extreme weather conditions. All those elk up there on Pickett are insanely skittish! When they get up above the tree line it is darn near impossible to get a shot off on them. As the crow flies, the ranch I hunt is probably 12 miles or so from the public entry point to Pickett.
