So I've been feeding deer behind my house for about 7 yrs but I put corn at woodline 100yds behind house. Recently I began just tossing corn over the privacy fence to see if they would come to it. Well after 3 weeks I had one pic of a deer and decided to use vanilla and in two days had over 200 pics of deer some in daylight hours. There is no cover at all within 100 yds of my house so couldn't believe it. I'm sold on the vanilla.

Are you mixing the vanilla with the corn?

Yeah I just put a little in the corn then stirred it around and tossed it over the fence

Had good luck with it this weekend. Went down Saturday and filled up my feeder and kept about a half a bag of corn, poured about half a bottle of vanilla in with it and shook it up. We then tested the feeder a couple times and then poured the vanilla corn out in 4 different piles around the pen. Went back yesterday before we came home and all four piles of vanilla corn were gone gone and they didn't even touch the spun corn. I'm sold.

Been using the stuff for years, just spray a little on the ground and trees around me. I start out before the season, spraying it around the feeder and blind, then apply each time I hunt. Had a buddy some years back that called BS on the idea. I went to the ground blind where I bowhunted and pointed out the deer tracks on top of my tracks where I was sitting. Made a believer out of him. Won't say it works 100% of the time, but I still use it every time I go out.

I tried it this weekend on a lease that has had zero pressure this year. In fact, we were the first to get out and hunt it. I put out corn and sprayed the vanilla on it. We had no deer or pigs come into either pile of corn.

On the flip side, I'm pretty sure it didn't spook anything either.

That would be a first seeing any kind of corn spook a hog or deer.

Can't help but share this. I smoked a nice 8 pt last year drinking a coors light with a dip in. Just finished pissing out of the stand. True story.... I'll try vanilla this year maybe a 10 will show up

great, something else I have to go get for this weekend to try out. Wife is really going to start questioning where I'm going with vanilla on the grocery list.
