this guy is 4.5 this year. I call this buck "Tear Duct" and he has definately blossomed over last year When he was a 2 year old he had a swollen/enlarged left tear duct which gave him his name.

well you are wrong on the age then cause he was a spike as a yearling and you missed that year. He had the swollen/enlarged tear duct as a 3 yr old. Get it straight
I would have missed him since he looks like a 5 yr old on places I have been.

STX, those Coke County bucks are deceiving. That's why I wanted to confirm that's where it was when I saw all the 130" guesses. I could be wrong, but I would bet a lot of money that buck doesn't break 120. He's very nice for that area, no doubt, but he looks like the typical, top end buck for that county, which puts him at 120, max. I'm no good with age, so I won't speculate on that.

Lol! I suck at aging from pics for sure ! On the bright side at least when I shoot a 3.5 yr old deer he is really probably 12.

There's a lot of bucks in that county, and like any other, it has some good ones. That's a good one. I'll be highly surprised if he breaks 120. He won't go 130.

The buck has 9 points. The 120-130 everyone is referring to is a score of inches. Measurements are taken, such and beam and time length, spread, and mass. It's all added up for a score. Most people use Boone & Crocket, although there's others like Buckmasters and SCI. If you go to Boone & Crocket's website, you can see a score sheet and get a better idea of how it's done. This is how animals are compared for record keeping.
