This stand is on a tree facing the fence line. It is probably 10-15 ft from the fence. Whomever sits in this stand has their back to their own property.
Pic#2
This is the view up their side of the fence. This is where they say they are hunting.
Pic #3
This is the view from the stand looking across the fence at the wheat field.

Now, I ask you, Would you have a problem with this?

Looks like they are hunting your property alright.
Maybe you need to have a talk with the landowner or the hunter, I'm sure you could reach some kind of agreement, or at least they would know how you feel.

I'd make sure to drive by every morning and take a whiz right by t-post #3 and then fire off a few rounds from the handgun, that's

The best answers given were talk to the landowner or the hunters and see if something can't be resolved.

If that does not seem to be working, get the GW involved, that is my opinion.

7mag's answer was also a good one, there is not much you can do, simply because some of this other stuff mentioned for you to try, could end you up facing a charge of Hunter Harrassment.

Three years ago, I could've very easily shot a hunter in this very same scenario. I was on target for a buck, when the buck spooked. Within seconds, shortly afterwards this guy comes walking out of the brush and towards the fence line. His set up was just like in picture #1.

The stand I was hunting from was 150 yards from the fence. And had been in that location for several years. Had I taken the shot.... most likely there would have been one less hunter today.

Had a friend that had this exact thing happen. They first talked to the neighbor (the neighbor had just bought this 320 acre tract next to their ranch that is heavily managed. They decided to ride their four wheelers up and down the fenceline during prime hunting hours opening weekend.
My friend got a visit from the GW (who was and still is a friend of his). GW said that he sympathized, but nothing could be done. Furthermore, if they continued to disturb the neighbors, he would be forced to issue citations for "Interfering with a Hunt"(don't remember exactly what he called it). Ain't that b*tch!

I would find a place that sells that big netting they use on driving ranges about 30 foot high and patch the fence right in front of the stand for about 50 foot. Its your fence on your property you can do what you want with it.

I agree I dont think this person is hunting your property. They are very much hunting the traffic coming off of their property to your giant wheat field. If you want to stop this I dont think their is much you can do about it. Morally I would not do this. He needs to set up further into his own property, but your wheat field is helping his hunting for sure.

Throw a grapling hook onto the blind, and tie the other end of the rope to your truck bumper and pull it down!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

So there is a law that says a person can not ride their 4-wheelers on their own property during hunting season... I would fight that...

Just as the hunter can put his blind 15' fom the fence so the other guy can build a 4-wheeler track on his property and ride like crazy... I am going to research this..If this is true this is a total mislead law.

If it is montague then it don't matter since the deer could care less about the wheat. At least on my old lease they didn't. Only showed up at midnight.

Lance, I agree, that doesn't sound right. What if you were riding to your stand every morning? I like the idea of putting a stand, back to back of that jerk. You do still have the right to hunt your own property don't you?

Judge orders Ellis Co. man to keep quiet during hunting season

(9/21/06 - ITALY, TX) - An Ellis County man has been ordered by a judge to keep the noise down on his property during deer season after he was found guilty of a misdemeanor charge of disrupting hunters. An Ellis County jury found Galen Morris, 38, guilty on Tuesday of violating one count of the state Sportsman's Rights Act. He was found not guilty of a second, similar charge.

The judge in the case ordered Morris to make sure his children don't disturb hunters on a neighboring property by playing loud music or driving four-wheelers before noon or after 4 p.m. during deer season, which starts in November. Morris was also issued a $250 fine and a year of probation

Sounds like the judge must have been on the lease! I would like to have heard all the circumstances on this one. Sounds like Mr. Morris was determined to ruin a lease.

I can't say they are shooting deer on your property, but there do look to be some really heavy traffic on his trails on his side of the fence. Next year i would buy some of the cheap 6 foot fencing and buy about 100-200 yards of it and put it up using existing tposts on the fence (as long as it's your fence). I'd put it up about a week before deer season starts. He will take the hint and move the blind. If you're trying to save some cash then look around and there are usually some second-hand chain-link fencing you can pick up from fence companies or craigslist.
