Am i right in thinking that this is the first harvested deer posted on the forum this year? What a way to kick it off, and way to make everyone feel bad about their own Bucks I've re-visited this thread 3 times already. Seriously though, that is a thing of beauty, great job!

Ahhhh the reason why I hate looking at pics on here, another big buck killed and I'll be lucky to see a buck half of its size this year.
Congrats, that's a beautiful buck. Dont worry fella.. Im sure you are not the only one! Deer on my place have to go through at least 4.5 yrs of surviving my cousins before I look at them through the scope! Nice buck!!!!

I still say 160 but scoring these days is not the same to me as it used to be and i am not saying that he may not score that on the Ole B an C which needs a revamp to add only the horns but not going to start an argument but any way it a good solid buck that he will have a hard time topping thats for sure and i would prolly not be able to hold a bow on him to make the shoot lol.

Looking at deer that ive seen that score in the 140's I have no problem believing that deer is in the low 170's.
Awesome buck!
I think I would have a difficult time scoring that deer correctly with the antlers in my hands from pictures on a computer would be akin to a wild guess for me.

This makes my head hurt trying to read it The scoring system today is the same as it was a long time ago. Nothing has changed other than people talk gross scores instead of net scores.

That's non typ gross score. 4 4/8" of deductions on typical frame if you want net.
17 1/8" abnormal points

Thats what i said but it never has been what it should have been from the start of it all but i guess you will not understand that !Gross or net makes no differance to me what hors add up to is what i go by and the way it should be and thats the end of it !

Isnt that what B&C Gross score is? Or do you think there should be no spread measurement?
