I'm thinking Friday night we cook out as well as for lunch Saturday. Saturday evening I'd be down to go out to eat...just to get out of there for a while and a change of pace.
It might not be a bad idea to cook what we shoot as well Saturday night. Maybe some people can bring bacon and cheese and we can hook up those ducks on the grill.
I'm for sure going to bring some sausage links for Friday night as well as some cooked summer sausage for everyone to snack on.
It would be great if we could maybe all bring something for at least Friday night and Saturday lunch.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

It's funny because most people don't need reminding of that. But I'm sure there are a couple that are going that do.

Not sure when I will be there, sometime between 6 and 8. I am good with anything regarding food. Marcstars idea sounded pretty good to me.
I will have sandwich stuff, as well as some venison sausage iced down in the cooler.
Thats the thing about life, nobody gets out alive.

I would prefer to eat something else Saturday evening since my dad and I already made plans to grill any ducks that I shot this weekend. We have pretty much been skunked due to no water in our hunting areas this season, so this will be our chance to grill ducks this year.

That's no problem...you can take home as many as you want. I was just thinking for me and maybe others we might want to cook ours there since we can. Hopefully there will be more than enough to go around. I think for most it would only take about one duck to feed them after you add in all the other stuff. Then again this is hunting and you never really know what you'll end up with. Also like I was saying before after a morning duck hunt, afternoon pheasant hunt we might be a little tired and not feel like cooking so going out to eat would be the best option.
Also everyone can do whatever they want for meals...I personally would want to just stay around there and cook, bs, and drink a few beers than go out for every meal.

That sounds good to me. I have a ton of smoked sausage in the freezer that I need to clean out, so I will probably bring some of it. We can just cook it Friday or Saturday night and whoever wants some can have some.

I will be working a 1/2 day on Friday and probably be there by 5. I also like Marc's idea and will probably bring a steak /tater for Friday night... maybe some tortillias and eggs/sasuage/picante for breakfast buritos in the mornings. I am can also go to the mexican place or into town for other meals. Looking forward to meeting you all and having a great time!

I just picked up a bunch of summer sausage from my first ever deer. I'll bring some of that.
But, I'm probably going to eat on the way down.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

OK guys. One open spot. you'll owe 250ish for the hunt and pm me and we can work out something for the deposit. I'll at least split it with you. Or you could trade me a couple boxes of shells or something. Because I absolutely cannot go and someone else might as well enjoy it.

I will make sure not to bring any sausage along with me. lol Think I will probably bring steak/potato for Friday night along with some other stuff for lunch on Saturday. Will try to throw in some bacon and cheese (what kind do you guys prefer?) in case anyone feels like grilling some ducks. I have a bunch of breakfast sausage from a hog I shot, so may cook that up and make some burritos before hand so they are ready to go in the morning. Only thing I have to worry about now is actually hitting some ducks/geese.

That is a great deal. 300 bucks or so for a guided duck hunt. and a guided goose hunt. With lodging! and a pheasant shoot in the afternoon. Thats great in fact.

Jump on it Ed! Worry about them tires after the season. Kind of thing you might regret not going on.

Bring whatever you like to eat and I'm sure others will like it. I'm not sure what others use when they do the dove/duck wrapped with bacon and cheese but I like that monteray jack with little bits of jalapeno instead of putting a whole jalapeno slice in it (I don't like a lot of jalapeno and I find that cheese is just hot/spicy enough).
As far as shooting if you can hit dove you can hit ducks and geese. Just have to remember they are bigger and it may look like they are going slower they are not.

Talked to Gary (Gdogg) last night he's not going to be able to make it now. His daughter has some big games coming up. So it looks like there are just 10 of us at this point unless Roadgoeson20 finds someone to fill his spot. I don't think Gary is really all that worried about his deposit.

I guess go back in time and tell them you asked for that vacation day and when they say they don't remember show them the proof. Problem solved. I'd do it for you but my flux capacitor broke a few weeks ago in a atv accident. Ironicly you were the one that saved me but I went back in time to make sure I didnt get in that accident..it worked but not without causing the said problems with the flux capacitor.
