BOBO, now that's the way to beat adversity You earned every inch of that buck and he's a dandy!! (Just think what you'd have seen if you didn't have a tag ) Your alive and can still walk, didnt use that .25 cents for rescue, I'd say it was a damn good trip..

Great looking deer and sounds like one heck of an experience. At least you get to drink away your worries on a beach. Hind sight, hell all you can do is laugh!!! It happens apparently so you just make the best of it. I do appreciate the kind offers from you and sniper! I'm just glad we got the fire out before that whole valley went up!!! Outstanding Harvest Glad you guys made it out safe..every time you look at that animal you will remember the hunt Congrats again..

You know what they say. The difference between an adventure and an ordeal is attitude. Sounds like you had a heck of an adventure. Congrats on the muley! Very nice! The fact you worked your keister off for it has got to make it even sweeter. So much of the trophy are the stories behind it that make it so! This one us one heck of a trophy! Congrats!

The real question is....did you use a rangefinder this time? I would think so Ironically no. Funny story... only time I used it I missed. Simple on the miss, was all me. So what do you blame the misses on when you don't use it? What are the details on the hunt for this buck Did he run into an arrow and die? We had this buck patterned pretty well. He was running with three other bucks. About every third day he would show up in the same draw(exact same draw I shot my deer last year). He had been Mia for two days so we knew it was about time for he to make his circle and show back up. Made a stalk and took a 50 yard shot quartering away. I didn't get a full pass thru but did break through off side shoulder blade and break skin. After the shot he went on a death march for about two hundred yards. Basically dead on the shot but no body told him. He sprinted to his death. He went down in a deep draw. We had fun getting him out. Basically carried him out over our shoulders. I learned a lot this trip. Things are always changing on the mountain wether it be the wind, weather/rain, or even the habits of a deer immediately after he rubs. I tracked a hoof print 3 miles only to have the wind change and bust me in the last 60 yards on a bedded stalk. The greatest thing I relearned was that you can't fix or change things, you can only adapt. The quicker you come to terms with that, the easier life is. No matter what happens at the end of every day and the beginning of every morning is a sun set and sun rise so unique and special that it over shadows life's little problems. That is why I love hunting Mule Deer. They never seem to do the same thing two days in a row but they do have a pattern of some sort. What changes that pattern is rain or predators(humans included in this). Your trip is what makes memorable hunts to me. It seems like for me I have to have some adversity first before success. What we do with the adversity and how we handle it makes those hunts the most memorable to me. It makes the success that much sweeter. It is not the size of the "trophy" but the total experience we take from that hunt that stays with you for a long time. Congrats again on a great buck

Congrats on the deer! Day 4( with two brand new tires one the back) GOOD LORD! Captain wasn't kidding when I asked if he heard from you yet and his comment was, "Something bad always happens to him. He's probably stuck on the mountain!"

Dang Bobo-
Sounds like you have several "rest of the stories" that go along with this trip. If we manage to meet up in Castell this season, the beer's on me; I'll just sit back for Story Time.
Congrats on taking a bow Muley full of character. Calling him a "3x3" doesn't do him justice.

I bet the Yeti still has ice in it Believable things you told on this trip: - You went to CO
- Goldstein went with you
- You missed
- You packed a Yeti
- You ruined more tires
Unbelievable things about this trip: - You actually killed something
- You actually managed to figure out how to burn down a twofiddy
- Goldstein didn't kill anything
Well congrats, I think Only you, the adventures of Bobo...

Congrats on a very cool and unique buck taken with true skill and not a small amount of sacrifice (or is it "burnt offering"?)

Cool buck in velvet Goldy....so what you're really saying is you did kill both a deer and the truck?

I bet someone's significant other is loving the fact that someone is wearing KUIU while the other has on the Columbia gear.

I'm not in camp for one archery season in the last 7 years and somehow you manage to do something I have yet to do.... Get Goldstien on an animal and burn a truck to the ground. Sorry I missed the hunt boys, glad Yaklin took care of y'all and nobody died in the truck fire ( or you didn't burn the ranch down) Great bucks for both of y'all, my only question now is who do plan on using for your Taxidermist? Have fun in Mexico BoBo, bring me back a shot glass or something.

Very nice Mulie Bobo, congrats. How about a pedestal mount using a burnt wheel as the pedestal?

Very nice Mulie Bobo, congrats. How about a pedestal mount using a burnt wheel as the pedestal? I would think if he cut of the front bumper and grill guard for a pedestal mount that is mounted on a receiver hitch insert that would do.
