I decided it was time for a muzzle can for 12ga since I've already built integral 20ga and 410 shotguns. The Salvo at $1400 just seemed a little steep personally so I shave about $1350 off the cost by going form 1.
This can uses fairly traditional baffles and an interesting expansion chamber - it does not use a perforated liner or support rods. All aluminum except for the end cap for the muzzle threads (304 stainless).

I still need to head blast and cerakote it and put it through its paces.
11" long x 2" o.d.

It uses readily available extended threaded choke tubes for the invector/winchoke/mossberg thread pattern or remchoke.

My other host should be back tomorrow (pump gun) but this trap version shows basic size (trap meaning only bottom barrel is loaded and fired, obviously the top barrle cannot be fire with suppressor attached)

First recovered wad fire through suppressor to show that the suppressor does not damage or distort

Very cool! One of the most awesome cans I've had the pleasure to shoot was a .410, very neat to shoot.

That's awesome, would be sweet if you could double surpress it. Supress both barrels.

Better host. The sights clear the suppressor

All we get is 5 seconds?? C'mon man! grin

That sounds ridiculously quiet! I have a question....do you have any concern with a baffle strike with a shotgun suppressor?

I was the only one at the trap range so 5 seconds was hard enough to film. I'll make sure to bring a friend sometime this week to get something a little better to share.

As long as the shot is wadded then I'm not at all worried. The baffles have a tapered bore to act as a choke to the keep the wad closed as it goes through. I put 25 rounds through it yesterday and shot it at the pattern board. No noticeable difference in pattern between suppressed and un-suppressed.
Same basic design of my 20ga and 410 suppressor baffles.
