Markhor are a top bucket list critter for me. Such awesome looking wild goats especially come winter with their neck manes in their prime.
If I'm not mistaken Priour lost their herd/can't find theirs.

A 3 year old and a yearling Nubian Ibex. The 3 year old measured 23" in Feb. So he is probably 27 or 28 inches here.

in my experience they're dangerous only bc they are scared of people. I catch all mine up a couple times a year and measure, worm and trim hooves. the 200lb+ billies are a handful.

Believe it or not, but mouflon are more dangerous. Mouflon are smaller, but extremely wild. They are so fast in a catch pen, flying off of everything. The ibex are much easier to handle and catch.

I agree with Rickey. Sheep will hurt you. Even so called domesticated ones. Get them in a pen and if you don't watch out they will run and jump and hit you square in the chest. Years ago we had wool sheep. My son and I were worming them. We had two rams in with the ewes. My son was holding one of the rams by the horn while I was drenching some ewes. He had the rams horn up next to his thigh. The other ram hit my son and drove the rams he was holding horn into his thigh about 2 inches. Ibex won't jump in the middle of your face. If you can crowd them most likely they will lay down. The only ones I have really had problems with are bottle raised males. Not all but most I have had get mean at about 4 or 5 years old.
