I don't know where you hunt, but don't forget a hotel here and there may be cheaper than a camper in the long run this first year.
Go the the local hotels and see if they will work a deal with you if you stay "X" amount of times.

If you want to go all out on a Quad... I have been looking at the Polaris 570 Camo with EPS. This is a super nice machine and you can find it for $5,900 +TTL.
