Yes you can, it takes some doing but with some elbow you can get it off with paint stripper

That's funny I just found that same stuff on AR15 searching how to remove it. Hmmm might have to pull the trigger on it.

Airplane Stripper - available at any automotive store or walmart, will strip duracoat.
