The 51T is the problem...the locking method/teeth on the suppressor is not strong enough to engage the teeth on the circumference of the 51T. They are notorious for coming loose when heated up due to firing. There was talk about AAC coming out with a 90 tooth adapter but it appears that never materialized. The 7.62SDN is great for decibel reduction but lacks proper mechanical connection.

The SDN6 is a great can, the mounts are an issue as previously discussed.

A big corperation taking over a smaller good company and screwing it up?
nah, that could never happen..

I don't have any vested interest whatsoever..
Not to sound like a know it all but I have enough inside information to know that I wouldn't buy nor recommend anything from AAC. Several buddies have SDN6s with mounts that don't lock up tight and AAC doesn't give a crap. My brother got a AAC/Rem 700 300 blackout bolt action and has had issues with it, you call AAC and they tell you to call Remington, Remington lists the serial # as a 223 and doesn't have a clue to the AAC rifle, back and forth, multiple times..

Why take the risk when there are companies making stuff that isn't having ANY issues and are looking like they are only moving up and forward.

Gemtech was hot years ago but they stopped innovating and are being left in the dust by guys like Silencerco for solid products that are reasonably priced and Thunderbeast and Templar for the high end market.. Look at Surefire, great mounts and their cans are built for abuse but they don't have very good DB reductions

I have a specwar 762, it is rated for 300 win mag should you choose to go a little bit bigger.

I think they are one of the few that are RUM rated.

Just be aware they will have a minimum barrel length for a Magnum rifle.

Not sure about the saker but the YHM phantom is 10.5" for everything besides 300BLK which can be as short as 8".

I know the Specwar is 7" minimum on rifles like 300blk and 223. You'd have to call the manufacturer for the minimum magnum length. I want to say it's 24" or 26" for a couple of the manufacturers.

You're going to love that can. Silencerco customer service is top notch as well. Can't say enough good things about them so far.
