We eat better at the ranch than at home. Huge breakfast, eggs, muffins, bacon, fruit, Cinnamin rolls, kalabosniks, stroodles. Then lunch is usually some type of homemade stew or fried steaks. Then supper is a BBQ hog, or beef, with all the fixings. My wife's aunt usually doesn't hunt and finishes the food while we hunt.

And I don't drink so no beer for me but lots of water and sun tea!!

Well I didn't get to vote! We eat good REALLY GOOD!!!!

there's almost always a pot of beans and usually something on the smoker

Pork butt, ribs, chicken, hot links, baked potato

also
stew, chili ( NO F'n BEANS!!!) chicken & dumplins
cobbler

We have one hunter who went to the Crodon Blue (SP?) cooking school (IN France) so there's no telling WHAT he's gonna come up with! Most is GREAT but then some not so great.

Oh I left out Bisc & gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, pan cakes

And a plain ole samich every now and then

DANG NOW WONDER I LIKE TO GO TO THE LEASE SO MUCH !!!

yep, when we are at the ranch, that is dinner, then what's left over is breakfast the next morning.

none of us are chefs, so steak, potatoes and beans are usually what we eat.

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Biscuits and sausage gravy or good ole SOS on toast is my favorite breakfast at the ranch. Throw in a side of bacon, a hot cup of coffee with Bailey's Irish Cream and am a happy camper.

Breakfast is normally oatmeal, dinner is a sandwich, but supper is anything from lobster, steaks, pork chops, trout, redfish, oysters, venison & hog naturally, rabbits, dove & quail, briskets, roasts, stew, chicken, and a whole lot I'm forgetting. Supper at the deer lease is to die for! We're 20 miles from town, all primitive campsite. You bring your own electricty, water, and propane. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Granola bars and pop tarts in the stand in the morning. Big brunch with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, biscuits, breakfast tacos, etc... Rarely eat lunch after the big brunch but always have snackage and then grill something for dinner with baked potatoes, beans, etc... Always gain weight during deer season.

That'd be one heck of a detour to grab camp food.

I am heading out the 4th of July. Let's see what is on the menu:

Wed night - nothing, just me and the dog.. so whatever I grab.

Thur - Eggs and Sausage patties for breakfast with tortillas, sandwiches for lunch, Smoked Pork Ribs, red potatoes with onions, mushrooms, bacon, butter smoked for 3 hours slowly, and pinto beans.

Friday: Breakfast is egg and ham grilled sandwiches I make on a griddle. Lunch is probably going to be sausage wraps with venison and pork sausage with some sliced bell peppers and cabbage on the side. Dinner probably going to smoke a small pig I trap on Thursday.. heh.. but if not, I am cooking 4 pork tenderloins I will split and stuff with jalapenos and cream cheese and then wrap it all in bacon. That takes 3 hours. Also baked potatoes and grilled zucchini.

Saturday: Scrambled eggs and Pork Sausage with hash browns and tortillas....breakfast tacos. Lunch, probably sandwiches unless I feel especially inspired. Dinner will be leftovers of all the other dinners, to make sure it gets eaten, augmented with some venison and pork sausage links and whatever else I dig out of the freezer.

Sunday, I will eat light and head into Rocksprings early on my way home to grab some of the awesome breakfast tacos they sell at the Shell station wink

Hunting is easy..it's getting permission from your wife that is tough.

we are 40 miles from town so we load up on goods at Wally world before heading to camp....only a couple of gas stations near camp...used to have a couple of little small town diners that had great food but they folded

Usually try to smoke a brisket or pork butt before we arrive. Can't ignore our deer lease staples, summer sausage, block of cheese, tortillas, and sandwich stuff.
