Ha, you got that right! That was allot of wiring. Ethernet cable, coaxial video cable, LCD monitor, marine USB port, microprocessor controller cable, etc. etc. etc. The 35Ah AGM aux battery only charges when the engine is running at 14.4 volts DC and then all the equipment is hard wired direct to the aux battery to power everything when the engine is off for over 24 hours non-stop before getting down to 12.4 volts. Works very nicely. Definitely a high tech redneck setup! ![cheers cheers](/forum/images/graemlins/default/cheers.gif)

Finally finished installing the professional Walker Evan rear shocks and they totally refined the ride on the UTV to a new level. These are the same shocks that come standard on the Polaris RZR 1000 Baja Race UTV except I talked to the people at Walker Evans and had them re-valve them for rock crawling and trail riding instead of high speed racing. Really smooths out the view on the FLIR M-324 thermal camera when cruising around 10-15 mph, eliminating the shake and vibrations! ![](http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/Pioneer%20700/Walker%20Evans%20Shocks/WE%20Rear.jpg) ![](http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/Pioneer%20700/Walker%20Evans%20Shocks/WE%20Installed%20on%20Rear.jpg)

LOL, this is getting too easy.... I'm cruising down the forest road out back in the UTV with the FLIR M-324 running and see two distinct hot spots about 250 yards ahead, cut the engine and watch them darting out of the thick cover on the side of the road. Decide to exit the UTV and stalk up a little closer on the road with the FLIR T-70 to see if it is a couple of coons or possibly some hogs? Take a sitting position in the middle of the road (full moon coming up bright) and watch them in the thermal scope, decide they are in fact some hogs and about to get up to mosey in a bit closer when suddenly they both take off running right down the middle of the road towards me? Caught a little off balance but watch them keep coming, at 125 yard coming right at me I decide to take out the one on the left with a frontal head shot as this is too good to be true and don't want to have them run off into cover. BAM, he drops in his tracks with bullets between the eyes! Other dude halts in his tracks and looks his buddy over and three seconds later BAM - head shot and he drops in his tracks. Couple of 90 pounders are in the sausage grinder! ![](http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/FLIR%20T70/Two%20Shoats/Hondini%20Shoats%20Front.jpg) ![](http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/FLIR%20T70/Two%20Shoats/Hondini%20Shoats%20Red%20Led.jpg) ![](http://www.phossil.com/thom/Night%20Vision/FLIR%20T70/Two%20Shoats/Hondini%20Shoats.jpg) Awesome!

The new FLIR RS64-60mm top end thermal scope has the new TAU 2.7 Image Enhancements built into the core, this is the latest version of TAU 2.7 firmware. Also, there is a new FLIR RS-Series thermal scope upgrade enhancement available as of today, it has many excellent features added that owners have been asking for including. 1. Manual Flat Field Calibration Mode - you can now turn off the auto NUC and change it to manual NUC only, in addtion, since the TAU-2 core is shuttered, there is no need to cover the lens with the lens cover when performing a manual NUC. Manual FFC basically disables the auto calibration feature of the scope that normally occurs on a time/temp interval. In manual mode, the only time a cal happens is when the user does a press-and-release of the power button. A blue M appears on the display when in manual mode. Many people have asked for this capability and it is included in the new firmware upgrade. 2. User Presets - this is another valuable firmware upgrade that many users have asked for. The firmware upgrade provides three new user presets that store all scope settings including zero adjustment, reticle style/color, color palette, zoom level, etc. Just set it up the way you want it and save that setup! It is ThermoSight R-Series Software Update 01.17.08 http://www.flir.com/cvs/americas/en/personalvision/view/?id=53129ENJOY!
