Very cool. I'm not feeling the baboon skull but love the mount.

The mount looks great. Agree with above though, not digging the skull.
Although impala are considered "common" in Africa, I think they're beautiful animals.

Nice! I agree about the baboon though. But, it definitely gives the dark continent vibe! Good job!

Amazing, by far the eat impala mount I've seen. If you don't mind me askif what does a piece like that set someone back? Have to be a lot of hours in that.
I prefer meat in it's original packaging.

Your kidding me! My plain old red stag shoulder mount is about $1000 and it's nowhere near to that standard! When I eventually get over to the states to hunt I know where I'm sending my head!
I prefer meat in it's original packaging.

Love the mount-not digging the skull. So much skill in creating the natural habitat and then a skull tacked/floating on there disrupts it all IMO.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

That's what the customer wanted so that is what he got. It was actually the first time doing one this way. We do hundreds of African mounts a year so everyone has their preference.

Nice looking mount but like the above comments...I do not care for the skull. It doesn't add anything in my opinion.
