I've got my MINE gate from Jager Pro setup on my pig trap. Had this sow and piglets coming in, hoping she will bring more before I close the gate. Pretty neat system. It has a cell phone camera with a relay transmitter on it. I can text the camera and it will tell the gate to close. I was driving through our field friday night and this sow ran right in front of my truck, bad decision.

Cool system, but it looks like your pig trap has become a goat feeder. Ya' might want to run a few strands of wire around the trap, or at least across the entrance. Goats are about as hard to fence in/out as pigs, but with other food available they might choose to leave your pig trap alone. Good luck!

Yes, thats exactly what I did using gaucho wire. here is a photo of the pig chasing something off, wish I could have gotten a picture of whatever she was running off. I've had this camera up for 2 weeks or so hoping more pigs would come in but it hasn't happened. I may wait a few more days, trap her if nothing else comes in and move my door and camera to another pig trap. haven't had time to run my camera so I may have more pigs coming in at my other traps.

She obviously isn't trap shy.
Jager Pro demonstrates use of foliage integrated with the traps to provide a more appealing look to those wary hogs.
Granted in your area in Texas it is very arid or semi-arid but maybe try adding some things to the gate area.
Interested to see what you bag on this first go and what you evolve to with the MINE.

yes sir huntTXhogs, this was an area that had been used before and had heavy rooting around it. I have another trap south of a field, across a draw in some good brush with a big tree shading it that I have open with a feeder and a camera on it. I am going to check the camera this evening. I am also going to build another trap in a separate pasture that will be in a very brushy area so I may use your advisement to the extreme. your right 817cd, at first I thought it was dust sturred up from something running but upon closer inspection, coon

Well i haven't been online in awhile but here is my report. Only had one sow, one boar and 5 piglets coming in to this particular pen so after 2 1/2 weeks i decided to slam the door. It worked out Great. got all of em but 2 piglets. They were back at the feeder the next night. Decided to move my camera over to a trap I had been baiting for a week or so 20 yards south of a field in the same pasture.
