Well had some free time today so I finished the door pins

Also did a tune up, plugs, plug wires, distributer cap and rotar. It now runs awesome! Fuel pump went back as it's literally driving like a near new truck! My wife was even impressed and that says a lot

Not sure, but that model should have an external fuel filter located along the frame rail on the drivers side. If so make sure to change it also. I have always heard not changing that filter causes a restriction and forces the fuel pump to work hard and causes the pump failures. I always changed the inline filter once a year and never had a fuel pump go out on any of mine.

You got a nice project going on here! up Ball joints are a PITA but really tighten up the ride once done. This should be a solid rig for you when you get it done, good job on doing it right.

Haha those oil cooler lines bring back memories. Mine were always soggy looking, made me nervous, but never did replace them.

If its any consolation mine last almost 20 years and 265k and sold in running order... maybe I was a lucky one.

I have always regretted selling that truck, and this thread is just making it worse!!!

Nice project, Im jealous.

Door is mega dented/shot (yes, birdshot) from original owner

Hood has mediocre hail damage, plus I got the replacement cheap!

Door is underneath wrapped up

Looks like I'm going to have it LineX'ed

Same colors, green body, black lower rockers, black bumpers and roof rack

Going to get it in the spray booth by March 3rd

• Marathon seat covers (due to arrive in 4-5 weeks)
• Weathertech molded floor mats (4-6 days)
• Fuel filter and alxe seal tomorrow
• Reinstalling skid plates tomorrow
• New donut seals on header/exaust
• Check timing

Trying to decide on frame surface rust that's visable in the wheel wells, sandblast or wire brush

New fuel filter installed

Noticed a small spot of oil in the driveway, upon further investigation the high pressure oil cooling line was run slightly wrong and was rubbing the belt pulley causing a cut. Luckily during my escapade the other night I knew exactly how to tackle this task and had it done in 15-20min.

Reinstalled the skid plates
