Man you have put in a ton of hours and $$$ on this thing. It is gonna be awesome but wonder if you could have bought a newer model without any issues for the same price yet? I've been contemplating doing something similar but with a high rack for calling. Since free time to tinker on stuff is nonexistant for me now I have been weighing my options.

I'm in $8,755 but it will last a LONG time with the quality parts I out on it. Plus if it breaks I can fix it since I have been through it with a fine tooth comb. Plus these vortecs are easier to work on then the 2000 ups bc there's less sensors and computers.

Going to be good Cody. Are you going to cry the first scratch or ding? Should last you a long time. Looks like you are doing a really good job on it and getting some good knowledge of how things work.

It's going to get Line-X'ed Monday Where? And price? Here in Sulphur Springs, $2800/3000 Main body factory green, black rocker panels, black front & rear bumpers, black roof rack Using bondo on any small dent, sanding for prep work and takes 4-5 days start to finish. I pulled the lower bed material off today to save a lil money and may pull bumpers off too

I think that is where I had my line x bed liner installed.

You're gonna like the LineX. But why not let them spray the frame and wheel wells for you since they are already doing the body anyway? While you're at it just pull out the carpet, seats, etc and spray the inside too. I used to spray a product similar to Rhino Lining and did a lot of vehicles. The hardest part is prep work and if you did it all for them they should give you a heck of a discount.

How would pulling out the carpet affect road noise? Not much after you coat the floor in rubber (liner). In my case I sprayed the Rhino like product which is a softer but thicker product than the LineX. The LineX might not be as sound dampening; I don't know. I would think the LineX would be about the same as having factory rubber floors.

Factory ruber floors have matting under them for sound/heat insulation. Only reason I know is I wore a couple holes in my old pickup.

The 3M undercoating is 9.99 a can and took me two cans and it is nearly as good, I tarted removing a test section and are my wire wheel to the bit The inside is already sprayed tan with LineX from the previous owner I'm going to ask about helping to sand it for a lil more of a price brake

How would pulling out the carpet affect road noise? It does add a little road noise and heat, it's also a touch slippery and none of the molded floor mats fit worth a poop bc there's no carpet like they are molded off of

Be sure you're getting black LINE-X Premium, not standard black LINE-X. Don't worry about the green, they will use LINE-X Xtra which is fine.
