Shot this corn thief at my dads place on the night of 1/25 and decided to leave it for the scavengers. I returned to check it on 2/1 and grabbed the sd card and my laptop, then hauled butt north to Tyler to my dads bed side at Hospice of east Texas, to possibly go through our trail cam pics with him for the last time. He was able to see the pics, and he enjoyed it. He loved going through the pics over the years. Turned out, this was indeed the last time. There was well over 150 pics of this "event", heres a few of em…

First visitor the camera caught was this buzzard and a couple of crows (notice the coon behind the pine tree)

Then these two showed up, where they covered up their find to the right of the tree.

You can see the "pile" better in this pic with the one cat on the other side of it. And you can see the dukes trap between the tree and the pile, by the cat on the rights back leg.

Heres the smaller cat grabbing a bite to eat

And then it appears the "irresponsible' juvenile cat leaves it uncovered.

Within the hour, the adult cat is back with the little one showing how its done and covers up their grub.

You can see here, the coon gets moved back to the right of the tree, and covered up again

Not sure what went on here to get one of the cats up in the tree, but I thought it was a good pic

Like I said before there was a lot of pics, they came back it seemed hourly just to check it out. The camera ended up not taking a pic over a 24 hour period at the end. One pic had their "pile" and the next was just the trap laying there. Not sure if the cats finished it or if some coyotes came in and found it. All that was left was the hand in the trap and some bare bone attached to it. Thanks for looking.

Sorry for your loss of your father! What a great way to share the last moments with him. That had to be a great joy for him to have you by his side looking at pics together. Prayers for you and your family!!!

Very cool pics. Sorry to hear about your dad.
