I'm going today to confirm zero and stretch my legs a bit. I've never shot past 150 yards so need to figure out my 300 yard holds.

Yes!!! We have several stages that have been my favorite stages to shoot in a match. We will also have this stage below, and bonus points for making a full rotation!

I can't remember if you guys said anything anywhere else but what all will we need to bring for this.

Rifle, 50 rounds of ammo (minimum), water, food, beer for afterward. Every stage will be run what you brung. If you want to shoot from a bipod, do it, if you need to build a position using your backpack do it. Also, for those that like to zero from a bench bring your front rest. It will also be used in more than one stage.

Do not bring a lead sled onto my range! If you can't shoot a rifle well enough to zero it without a lead sled you don't need to be competing with one. Or hunting with it for that matter.

We need more shooters to sign up!!!! I'm surprised we don't have more than we do. This will be a fun match with some good stages to shoot. Several stages are the most fun I have shot over the years.

That spinning target video from above looks fun. Doubt I can pull a spin off, but it looks fun. I still need to sign up. Chad if I sign up for me and my buddy can he bring you cash or does it need to be a check made out to Jason?

We'd prefer check so we have an exact head count of paid shooters. What I want to avoid is 35 sign up online and only half send their check in, and we have 15 shooters show up. We need at least 30 paid shooters for this match to happen, and we are not there yet.

I'm kind of surprised at the lack of sign-ups. This will be a fun match. We are putting together some awesome stages of fire. We are gearing it for some easy hits, and some hard one's. There will a lot of reaction targets like steel, clay pigeons, and such.

Maybe you guys could post it up in the non-firearm section of the classifieds to get more views. I can get you a check no problem. So what exactly happens if we register and send in check and we don't have 30 shooters? No match and money back or what? Even if we only got 15 shooters I'd be willing to pay and come shoot without any prizes just to shoot the stages.

If it gets cancelled, everyone will get a refund. No harm, no foul. I won't cash the checks until a couple of days before the match goes live. If it goes live...

Are there any places decent to stay relatively close? I want to shoot but it is something like a 3hr drive for me.

Greenville has some hotels, and it's not far down the road. Mckinney is 45 minutes SW and would have better hotels. Or bring a tent.

Gonna check with the old lady to make sure I don't have anything going on that weekend, and need to find some 308 non FMJ rounds to reload and I will sign up. Sounds like fun.

Would love to shoot in this but will be guiding for a TYHP Turkey hunt during that weekend, hope y'all get enough to have the shoot. Know it would be a blast literally to shoot with the crew.

Anybody have a portable shooting bench they can bring? I've got a mountain of work to do to get ready for the match, and the bench I will provide (for those that need one) won't be very nice. I'd build one, but do not have the time.

Wished I'd seen this sooner, as I am sure I could have talked my neighbor & his son that I've been trying to get involved with Jason for Training to participate...this Hunters Challenge Shoot sounds like a lot of fun, and would be a good tuneup later this summer too.

I put a phone call into him 20 minutes ago but he is traveling and does not answer his phone at a clients office.

Next time ya'll schedule one of these see if JP will put it the Annoucements section. If I can catch it I'll come shoot something ...mebbe my 9.3x62, or mebbe not as 50-60 rounds of 250/270 gr'ers in a morning is more than I've ever shot in it at one time. Got a couple others that can fill the bill too.

Heck yeah! Bring it as soon as you can. I'm setting up the match on Thursday morning.

Lots of preparations made yesterday and today. It will be challenging, and very do-able, but yall better show up with your game faces on.

Chad and I are going to shoot every stage, Friday. If we have a hard time with anything we'll adjust it. We want everyone to get hits, but have to work a bit for it.

Dont know if I will be there now. Have had then flu since last Friday. Arms are so sore I don't know if I can even hold a rifle. Will see how I feel in the am. Really sucks!!!!
