They can get very gentle around houses. Don't forget that they do like baby quail also. Nice pics also. And horny toads. We had one that would come up and dance with lizards in his mouth at our glass door every few days. It was cool until he brought up a horny toad he had just killed.

You're lucky to have a pet Road Runner. We had a pet buzzard named Leonard when I was I kid. You couldn't get ten feet from him and not want to gag. Those Road runners are a lot of fun to watch while deer hunting.

Had a friend (now departed) that hated roadrunners on account of their predation of quail. But they also eat snakes and snakes eat quail (and eggs) so in the end I just wonder how bad they are for quail. If the snake population was high would they not be a benefit to the quail?
