 FINALLY!!! Got a Good Desert Mule Deer

Finally, I finally got not only one but two really nice desert mule deer bucks and my buddy took an absolute giant. After a terribly disappointing mule deer hunt last year in the Hueco Mountains near El Paso my buddy and I decided to travel down to Old Mexico and hunt the Sonora Desert Region. Great hunt, hard hunt. We saw several bucks every day as they were in rut and every buck was chasing a doe. This is one more thing I can check off my old mans "bucket list" Buck #1 shot on the second day of the hunt, Scores somewhere near 180-185   Buck #2 was shot on the fifth day of hunt, 33" wide   My buddies buck scored approximately 219

If you are ever looking to go to Sonora to hunt a big trophy desert mule deer I would highly recommend calling Mike Powell at All Season's Guide Service out of Victoria, TX.
He is one of the few outfitters I have used who really knows his stuff and handles all the issues and upfront work it takes to go into Mexico.
Also, we did see quite a few Couse Deer and that will be on my list for next year
