I might as well stop procrastinating and get the process started. I've read a bunch of reviews on a number of different makes/models etc. but wanted to see if anybody had any recommendations. What, which one, why you like it/don't like it. Thanks in advance for any help!

I have an Innovative Arms Deception on Form 4. It should be here soon. I read nothing but good things about it. Great weight for the price.

I've been researching this a lot for my sbr, if size and weight isn't a concern the. 7.62 specwar seems to be a good buy, or the 762sdn6
I just wish the socom 762 mini was cheaper

AR10's and AR15's are different thread pitches. I went with a YHM 7.62 phantom QD for my POF 308 and my 5.56 AR both with the QD muzzle devices.

The spectrum seems to be from a cost perspective that YHM is at the bottom or close to it on price and Surefire is at the top. AAC, Gemtech, AWC, and others fall somewhere in between. You have to kind of decide what you want out of it besides sound suppression. Someone may correct me on some of the newer brands but Surefire is the only one I have found thus far that the POI doesn't shift with the can on or off when using an optic. If that doesn't matter then YHM is hard to beat. They generally are the best on cost, have decent sound suppression, and have great customer service. Customer service does come into play should problems arise and AAC for example has neat new products but their service is notoriously bad.

Yh is good. It has been out for a while and was one of the few 308 cans rated above 308. Silencerco now has some cans that can take 300 wins

I chose the AAC cyclone for 650. Dont plan to take it off the 300bo all that often so the QD wasnt a selling point for the increased cost.
Watched a lot of youtube and talked to the guys at silence shop...few more months and I may get it and be able to review it myself.

I ordered an AAC SDN6. But the Specwar does a better job on a meter.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

"Best" is very subjective....what does best mean to you?
Do you want the quietest, shortest, lightest, thread-on, QD??
Typically the longer and heavier it is the quieter it will be. I have an AAC Cyclone that is very quiet, but it is long at 9.5" and heavy at 22 oz. I ordered a Thunderbeast 30-PS that is 7" and 13 oz for my second one.
I really like the Cyclone and only wanted thread-on cans because I didn't want to buy a mount for every gun since I use them on every centerfire gun I have. It doesn't bother me to take an extra 15 seconds to unscrew it.
There is quite a bit of info on Silencerforum.com with testing results for several different cans.

Thanks so far for all of the advice. Good point Doc...... I'm not concerned with weight, just looking for the best sound suppression and one that will work on anything from 308 down. Thanks again!

Just because it's a 7.62 can does not mean it can handle all 30 cal rounds. A sdn6 can not handle a 30-06 for example.

I hear silencerco is coming out with a light weight 7.62 suppressor rated for 300 win mag that should have a street price around $500. It will be interesting to see the reviews on this when it becomes available. I paid around $650 for mine. One of the biggest selling points for me was the weight (13oz) in addition to its sound suppression.

I have a YHM Phantom Ti. I like it because it's light, it uses QD mounts which makes it easy to screw on and off plus you can get a smaller QD mount to use your can on a .223/5.56.
My dislike? I wish it was shorter in length.
