Maybe they have been hunting hogs, since Moby Dick was a sardine.

Agree, didn't notice the flash? or was it an Ir?

B&W game camera images at night are pretty much exclusively IR flash images. If they were color, then there would have been a white light flash.

Then they should be very tired.

Those don't appear to be the same outfitted dogs.

LOL, you have a B&W pic of a dog's butt-end and right side and a color pic from the left side and you are convinced they are the same dog? They may be the same breed, but I don't see anything there that is diagnostic beyond that. They could be the same dog, or not.

seems obvious to me. your really gonna argue two different German Shepherds out in the middle of nowhere at the same feeder? now your just trying to be the devil's advocate. not to mention the markings look the same to me. or it is just an odd coincidence.

Not the same dog , the saddle back in the first one is higher an not as dark , an the second dog is bigger

They are similar but I don't believe the same ,
Just like you can tell indivual cows apart even though they can all be black angus cows

I look at alot of dogs everyday in my line of work

I would have to agree with Double Naught. Just not enough to say its 100% the same dog. I just don't see the same markings. Maybe if both pictures of the same side I could lean more towards yes that is the same dog. But stranger things have happened and I have had times where I had pictures and sightings of what I thought was the same dog and it turned out a neighbor had one of them which I did not know about and the other belonged to a guest of his that had a dog of the same breed. The guest would let the dog run out in the country when he came by and it was actually his dog that was causing the problem in my situation. But when I was told that this neighbor had a dog that looked like the one in the photo I had, and approached him about it, that is when I found out.

alright, alright. i will accept your argument but i feel i there is enough in my opinion to see them as the same. kinda like the dude with the drone at his feeder... wink

i have however changed the rules - you still can't call me a democrat.

I don't see a cut collar on the dogs in the day time pictures.

Yea, I thought I could but really can't tell for sure. It is feasible that the same dog is there without collar. Don't think it was hunting in that pic.

figured i would update here. still need to go ahead and contact GW. while trail may be cold, pictures don't change. i personally spoke to the LO and he said under no uncertain terms were anyone other than us hunters on the lease allowed to hunt the land. he mentioned that at one point rancher was helping shoot some trapped hogs (we trapped them) in our dove field but as far as he was concerned that was it.

farmer was contacted again and he reiterated none on his team was involved and said that if they were immediate termination would occur. sounds like he is serious. also, here is where it gets interesting. apparently now we are finding out that rancher has hog dogs. and rancher wants to find these people too because we apparently think he did it. we also find out that the 101 is experiencing the same issue (trespassing/poaching or something). now hands from our ranch and 101 are "comparing notes". wonder what notes that is. i guess they could be comparing whatever they have to my pictures. i am sure they have my pictures from this post. i know some if not most of them are aware of this posting. i guess they can get all info they need from this. now that i think of it, i wonder why they have not contacted the GW....
