Over the years I've shot several Rugers and Buckmarks and like them both. But my new favorite is a Colt Huntsman that belonged to my girlfriend's father. 40-50 years old, smooth, accurate; it's probably had more rounds put through it in the past three years than in the prior thirty.

My favorite would probably be a Colt Woodsman, but the collector value on those is pretty high and out of my price range.

Noticed the trigger did ya? Volquartsen and Tandemkross parts should be an option on all Ruger 22 pistols. The upgrade makes such a difference!! I had a TK bushing in mine until I decided to fix the bad factory trigger. I bought the VQ parts for a MKII and added one MKII hammer bushing to make mine a MKII.5. I sold off the TK bushing and the extraneous mag release in the VQ kit that doesn't fit the 22/45 and had an entire VQ trigger group for about $80. All I need is an LCI removal plug and mine will be back to MKII standards but with wood grips and "1911 controls"....
Pass the gravy.
