Around .5,also depends on what they start out at. (ex 30-30 ushing a 208 AMAX vs 300wm) You'll see that gunwerks likes and pushes their 7mm LRM though.

I like anything in the .49 and up BC. Velocity isn't a huge key for me but wind deflection is.

Shoot enough 175 SMKs at 2700 fps, out of a 308. BC of .5

Then get a BC closer or above .6 and just another hundred fps at the muzzle and enjoy the difference. I'm going to have to say a BC of .550 and above is my minimum, now. Of course my 22-250 with a 75 gr A-max doesn't have that kind of BC, but with 3200 fps, it does a pretty good job to 600 yards.

Not against the 150 ablr. ............. what's the difference in recoil?

Also you can go higher bc on the 270 if you use a different twist, think matrix makes a .68 for it

That's subjective to the advertised BC being correct. Another factor is I doubt they stabilize with any factory twist. The 270 WSM no doubt has the powder capacity to push them but to effectively do it may require a long action.

Ablr will, I've seen any where from full value out to 600 to .58 at 1000.

Now the matrix you will need another twist 1-8

I've been wanting to try the lrab in my 7mm but the Amax's work entirely to well to change.

If your seriously looking for a fast 6.5 then id look at the 6.5 4s also know as a 6.5 saum. It looks to not be the barrel burner the 6.5 wsm and 264 win mag are with the same level of performance

My only worry is if they will explode under 100yards. I've been looking to build a saum or wsm, but hard to build a rifle in a caliber based off one bullet that is damn near impossible to find..lol

Had decent luck with berger in other calibers, just don't like the princple of it at shorter range.

I keep hearing the ablr BC is highly inflated. There are some guys testing it now. I have seen where it has expanded down to 1600 fps. It supposed to work to 1300 but I don't know if anyone has tested that.

I have seen some calibers are inflated and some are close to spot on. Until I see a lot of data out I will likely refrain from trying them out.
