The meat was tough because it didn't have time to relax. At least a day if possible. Well that's where we messed up we shot her and ate some that morning.... I believe it was tuff because its a deer and not prime beef. Its a wild animal and always will be, the only way I know to guarantee it to be tender is to grind it.

I believe it was tuff because its a deer and not prime beef. Its a wild animal and always will be, the only way I know to guarantee it to be tender is to grind it.
