Had 3 Groups out today and "EVERYONE" had a GREAT hunt! I took the Banker out today... He had a meeting at 11:00 so we made a quick Timber hole hunt... We had a GREAT time...Didn't know he could smile so big with a dip in when them 8 mallards fell into the hole!  Before Mallards came in picture:  After Greenheads came in picture:  Looking good going into Turkey weekend! J.J.

Too bad I was fiddle farting around in the mud with decoys when they came in to party. I'm sure a video of me sprinting for my gun would have been comical. Still made the meeting on time. Well played JJ-well played...

Guy we harvested 1773 birds last year and he probably brought in 800 or so of them... Not counting Dove... So I would say on average he retrieves roughly 1000 birds a year. I know he has picked up roughly 100 in the last few days...  J.J.

Great looking lab. I love the shots of him looking up at birds. When mine was still alive it got to where I spent more time watching her watch birds than watching them myself. I always knew when it was time to take them when her ears raised up just a notch.

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back on here and Post we have been a little Busy to say the least! As for most people they have a 2 week split. We had 5 days, which we used to get ready to get after it again! Saturday the 14th we opened the Oklahoma Split! Only had one group of about of 3 guys, and 2 cancelled at the last minute so I just took one guy out! Kevin, Belle and I had a GREAT time and shot our limits pretty quickly!  Sunday Kelly and I took out the Schonberg Klan of 3 Generations and had a GREAT hunt! We shot a 6 man limit that morning fairly quickly! Lots of birds!  Little kid on Rights First Duck Hunt!  Monday Kelly and I left for the Coast and did some hunting. Tuesday was a Bust and we hunted hard! Then Wednesday and Thursday am paid off. Here are some pics from down there! Bo with the morning Harvest:  We also got in a little inland hunting and I was able to shoot a nice pair of Cinnamon Teal!  Bo with the birds:  It was a Fun time on the Coast but was "Extremely" tough, and NOT a lot of birds around... WE came back Thursday afternoon and Got home 8 hours later. Friday did some scouting and this looked good for Saturdays opener!   Well Saturday rolled around and we Had a GREAT time at all the Spots! We finished with 104 birds on the morning! Here is Kelly's and My group with 60 birds:  So, being that we did so well, how in the world are we going to come close to that on Day #2??? We ended up Harvesting 102 birds on Sunday! Here is my Group of 4 which beat up on the Drakes Pretty Good!  Group picture of my group and another group: 8 man limit of 48 birds before 9 am!  What a GREAT way to start the second split in Texas!!! 206 Birds in Two Days!!! We've had some GREAT hunts at www.kentoutdoors.comJ.J.

JJ ... Who's that handsome, suave looking fella on the drivers side of the truck bed? He looks familiar somehow. Is his dawg crate color coordinated with the truck color? That's an indication of a Houston area hunter where they get all persnickity about things matching nicely.
