Muck boots are nice but have a couple drawbacks.... I have several pairs (jobbers, chore, wellington, and an equine (?) ) All are nice for convenience, but except for the wellington style and the chore will wear you out in short order and can get smelly after a while..... Especially if you are older.... I've decided that the ones I have now will be the last (see if I stick to it) and will go with something with more support. I don't know what the prices run in the States, but you may look at Meindl and see if they fit your taste and price....

Bobo,I bought a pair of these about 6 years ago from Cabelas bargain cave and they were extremely comfortable and light and pretty warm as well. Unfortunately they have fallen apart the past year or so, therefore they have been replaced. You should of called columbia, their CS can be suprising. They may have sent you a new pair.
