Let's see some pictures from AR counties that show the quality of deer in your county.

Here's some from Fannin County.

Good deer 2011:

Cull deer 2010:

Some nice does

2012

2013

Nice buck 2012

This was 2004, before ARs

There were also bucks taken in 1988, 1992, 1994, and 2000 that would have been legal. There were deer taken in 1996 and 2003 that would not have been legal.

The deer taken in 1994 was a 22 inch non-typical 8-pt. I might be able to dig up some pics of him.

I don't really see how this proves or disproves anything.

It doesn't prove anything I just want to see pictures instead of reading these arguments all the time.

Don't think anyone gonna post their undersized deer here. But if ya got a buck that was 11"-12" wide at 3.5 years old and 2 or 3 years later he was a nice legal buck I'm willing to look

These deer are just a few of the ones that I can't cull due to not being wide enough or ones that took several years to make 13". The big 6 is no longer with us. The second and third pics are the same deer and he now makes 13" but haven't seen him this season. Our genetics are tall and narrow so I can't shoot a lot of the deer I need to before they are able to spread their genes around.
Evidence that ARs do nothing:

They work for antler hunters.
They do not work for meat hunters.
Poachers do not care.

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

Why, because you can't shoot anything brown and be legal every time? I hunt mainly for meat and have no problem filling my freezer legally in an AR county.

Hopefully Santa will bring me a new trail cam. Mine is on the fritz. No pics are loading on the SD card. Camera shows I have 28 pics(full memory) but when I took laptop out to load pics the damn battery in laptop won't take a charge anymore. This year it's only what I see while in stand.

Pics ARE NOT hard evidence one way or the other. The only thing they'll "prove" is that there are photos submitted from both perspectives. The fact is they work!....and they don't work! The truth is that ARs simply are not perfect. But bag limits do not work either. Perhaps there are guys on here (AR opponents) that if there were bags limits would only shoot mature and/or cull bucks and does in other words they would fill tags just to put meat on the table but would put the condition of the deer herd ahead of filling their tags. But the problem with this perspective is they don't consider average Joe hunter and average Joe hunter will shoot whatever is legal period! rifle deer That is the problem with tag limits. We've heard often, Curly comes to mind mad, that ARs don't work, and as far as them being perfect they're not! BUT they are better than anything else so far. Should their be tags issued to land owners that allowed a hunt to shoot a "cull" based on acre etc? Perhaps. But if so they would need to provide guide lines as to what that cull is. In another words penalties would be assessed if a buck was taken that does not meet the criteria. And all "culls" would need to be checked in. If the land owner does check in the culls then at the end of the season would be required to turn in the left over tags and if not there would be a fine for each tag not turned back in. Yes I know about MLDs but this could be implemented for those that don't qualify for them?

Pictures of deer that are not time-lapse show nothing in regard to ARs working or not. If you just want to see pictures, well say that.
