Avoid using a light that is motion activated, it scares them off. You can use a light that is activated at dusk. Also, do not use a light that you only turn on when you hunt, hogs will get wise to that.

Reasonable is a relative term, what kind of budget are you looking at?

This is bs

All the lights I have used are motion activated, and give them 4-5 days and they get used to it. They care more about food than the light.

I use a Mr Beams also. I have a Kill light on my gun for shooting. The mr Beams is my early warning system. I took a green marker and painted over the LED cover. At 50 yards when something walks under the feeder a barely visible light comes on. Just enough light to tell me something is going on, but not enough to spook game or wash out game camera picture/video.

Pretty cheap solution to, maybe $25 shipped for Amazon.

Mike

Harbor Freight has what looks to be the same thing for $30

I've been using a couple for a few years and they work okay. The motion light doesn't seem to scare the hogs.

East you must have a VERY small group of hogs that gets used to a motion light. We have 130,000 acres under lease and never have the same hogs on the same feeder in a two week period.

Or you just have the dumbest group of hogs ever...

eeks333 Lot of property right there. I would say your probably right about the same groups. It took about 4-5 days and then i would have TC pics of them all night with the light on. Even big loan boars got used to it. Made hunting fun cause you could just sit 100 yards away and wait for the light to come on. But I would suggest more than one light

Its a good thing you didn't buy it. I checked out their website. New they are $279.00. I also looked at their picture, and for the amount of light that thing puts out, you might as well by a $5.00 My Little Pony nite-lite.
