Deer were moving well tonight. No shooters but it was nice to see some deer again.
Another dang hog showed up at a corn pile, but I had deer less than 200 yds away and let him walk.....probably a mistake. Another guy shot 2 with 1 shot tonight. Everything seemed to be glad the ice had melted.

Fml. I knew the deer would eventually start moving after all that ice melted. I might try to slip out there this eve.

I was at our lease near Merkel yesterday afternoon. Seemed perfect. No rain, sleet, etc. About 36 degrees with a light breeze. Got in the blind at 3, stayed till dark. Saw absolutely nothing.

One of my bigger 8s is here chasing doe. He's swollen up and has blood on his left shoulder. Another buck is headed toward him... Bout to be a fight.

The deer have all left again. I had one fat doe come back to eat but I don't think there was much corn left on the ground and she just left .

Hunted my wheat field last night. Nothing. They always hit the wheat in the evening. So, it was really slow or they didn't care for all the calves out there.

Ran some turkey off then shot a pig all within the last 20 min. Now a small buck just walked up. May still be a good eve.
