I just bought a new camera that makes me go "Wow!" every time I use it. Got me to thinking about products that were so great they exceeded my expectations. I will post a few I can think of and would love to hear everyone else's.
I tend to not think of super expensive guns or gear in this category, simply because I expect them to perform great due to their price. But you may feel differently so post away.
Ones that come to mind:
1)Canon SX50 HS camera-brings wildlife in close like a super expensive and heavy telephoto rig. All for $329;
2)Muck Boots-if you haven't tried them you are missing out. $119 or so. Comfortable, warm, and easy on/off;
3)Cree 250 lumen flashlights. $15 for a card of three (with batteries) at Costco. Bright as all get out and at that price can have one everywhere;
4)Crooked Horn Bino Harness- $20 and don't know what I did before they came along; and
5)Browning 750 down jacket-$90 and keeps you warm in 98% of conditions. Plus weighs next to nothing and can stuff it down to softball size.
There are more in mind but that's a start.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

The Canon stabilized binoculars. The glass is ordinary and my 10x30 is mediocre at twilight, but even the entry level unit is **amazing**. If you've never tried a pair, you're really missing out.

Danner boots X3, plus a Nikon scope. I was a Leupold man for years. Was heading to the woods, looked through my scope on the way into the case and it was fogged. Pulled into a Wal-mart on the way and got a 3-9x40 Buckmaster as a "that'll do for now" scope. That was over ten years ago and that "that'll do for now" scope is still on that rifle.

I really love to hear y'all's favorites. It's how I make most of my buying decisions. I'll add Thermacell and Butler Creek scope caps to my list.

Therma Cell - Thought these were a joke but they work great
Buff, Meriono Wool - Bought one on a whim and it's great for summer or winter
Alpaca Socks - Beats the smartwool socks and made out of 100% alpaca wool
Zeiss Scopes - I've used, abused and dropped these things with no loss of zero
Havalon Knives - Great for skinning and quartering
Katz Knives - Great knives that hold an edge

Kumho 10-ply tires. I was getting flats fixed once a month before I put 10-ply's on and have only had 2 flats in the past two years. I put the miles on as well in rural areas, dirt roads, pasture, etc.

The Winchester branded screw bit set with manual driver. It's something under $10 at Wally World (cheaper) or online at Midway and it has 99% of the right sized bit heads. I bought two of them.

Radio Shack flash lights... they have a short stubby version that works on 3 aaa that I/WE thought was pretty bad azz then we bought the one that uses 2 aa batts. WOW! I think they are about $30. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND either of these but especially the one that uses aa bats!
I have 2 lights that I paid around $80 ea for and the R Shack ones are almost as bright and use WAY less expensive batts. that last lots longer
And that BUTT OUT tool, doesn't work worth a flip (for me at least) but every time I see someone try and use I laugh harder than I've laughed in years! WORTH EVERY PENNY !!!!!

A Clearstream digital tv antenna. This is the only thing I've bought in years that far exceeded my expectations. I put one up on our old ranch house which is 70 miles from Abilene in Fisher county. It's a small antenna and we get 9 channels which are clearer than my dish at home. We had a huge antenna up there in the 80's and only got one fuzzy channel. Best 90 bucks I ever spent.
