I don't have a dog in this fight but I do have hunters on occasion. Years ago I used to have a hunting service and did it full time. Now I just have a few when Whitetail season is on. Over the years I have found that you cannot please everyone no matter how you try. All you can do is try to make every ones hunt enjoyable. Enjoyable for them and yourself. Most are easy to make that happen. Every once in a while you have those that no matter what you do it is not right. What you hope for is that the happy hunters out number the ones that are not. Good luck with your hunting, DB Hunting and your clients.

Couldnt have said it better Don, cant make everyone perfectly happy but never hurts to hear a little constructive criticism.

Add me to the DB fans. Beats the heck out of any other day hunt I've done. I took my three sons hog dogging with DB some years back. I thought the youngest was a little young for hog dogging but after I sat the stand with him for an evening and morning seeing only exotics Danny put him on a hog with the dogs too! He didn't have to do that either but didn't want the boys disappointed. I've recommended them several times since and wouldn't hesitate to go back again for the right hunt.

Took my family there in February of this year to hunt hogs and buffalo, and stay in cabins on site. We had a great time, were well pleased.

It did appear that they were very busy, they had quiet a few hunters, and were making infrastructure improvements at the same time. Absolutely would recommend for hunters who are somewhat self-maintaining, who are looking for good-to-excellent animals, at great pricing.

We plan on hunting with them again.

I had booked a hunt with DB a couple of years ago, but ended up not being able to take it. I booked a red deer hind and drove to Round Rock for the night (had other business in the area). Called DB to confirm hunt. Was told they (I) would not be able to hunt as planned because of some rain issues. They wanted to rebook me for a week or so later. Could not do that. I had drove 800 miles and booked this trip for a day I had off from my previous appointment. I had paid already. I did eventually receive a refund after some discussion(because they cancelled me). Took several months and several emails / phone calls to get the refund actually sent to me. Besides having wasted my time, no harm done. Have considered going back, just never actually got around to it.

Hunted with them 2 years ago chasing cow elk, Cody busted his butt trying to find 2 elk but no luck. We ended up with a nice red stag and a pond monkey...was a good time and we will do it again

They have a few guides but I see a pattern. Lot of positive feed toward Cody.

You're not the only one wondering.

I was going to ask the same thing. I am from New Mexico so figured that was just something y'all had in Texas.

deven,

I read HWY_MAN's post and didn't get the impression he was referring to y'all at all. He copied your post to show he was talking to you specifically with his comment, and then was telling you his personal experience with other hunters who had a similar story. That's all. No need to over react and get defensive.
