We always make deep fry cubed backstrap and potato wedges at deer camp. We always double breaded with flour/eggwash/flour. We did the same thing with the potato wedges. We would also make brown gravy with lots of Cajun seasoning. I am the cook so im usually full by the time dinner is served.

When I was young and single we deep fried deer meat in the Fry Daddy all the time. I like it fried very hot for a short time so still medium/medium rare in the middle.

do it the same way. tenderize it till its very thin, soak it in evaporated milk for 4 hrs or so. Put your seasoning in the flour. toss the deer meat in the flour, shake off the excess before you drop it in the fryer. for fries- put flour in a paper sack, shack it up real good with sliced onion. Fry some deer meat, then a batch of fries. eat em fresh off of the platter. cut some jalapeo and toss it in there. Fold a piece of deer meat up with the slice of pepper and your in heaven.

Do you fry the jalapeo? I'm thinking this is going to happen this weekend.

Oh yeah. Just slice it in half, long ways so you have 2 pieces, scrape out the seeds and fry it up with the meat. If they are to hot rinse or soak it in water for a few minutes after deseeding. Put it on top of your piece of deer meat and enjoy.
