Been in the works for a while and now it's done! Build specs: Chambered in .338-.408 cheytac improved. BAT action Benchmark barrel Russo stock Jewel trigger Muscle brake SB scope The rifle... Load development... 100 yds Letting it sing... 525 yds 3 shots roughly 2 1/2" 900 yds... (The 3 fresh hits) 1025 yds... ( wind got me on last shot or this would have been killer!! The two hits are the ones I'm pointing too.) That 300gr smk going 3200fps really rings those plates.. Hardly any recoil with brake and weight of rifle and as always Joel Russo did an amazing job on this bubinga stock! First class all the way! Going to S tx this weekend should get some good video.

Wow, Chase. That's crazy!
Who's brass are you running to neck down to .338? Tell me your process (dies, etc), if you don't mind.

Who's brass are you running to neck down to .338? Tell me your process (dies, etc), if you don't mind. I am using Bertram brass that is already necked 338.. slight fireform and its ready. I had one of these beasts a while back and I was only using jaminson brass... it sucks compared to the bertram.. in tolerances and strength. Bruce Baer/Joel Russo... pioneers of this wildcat have the brass.. Dies are custom 1 1/2...

Gotcha. That's why I was wondering. Necking down 408 could be very difficult. I have loaded some of the Bertram brass in 408, and it appeared to be much better than the Jamison stuff.
That rifle and ammo combination is a hammer! Nice work!

I am working on another wildcat that will have to use jaminson brass because there is no other source right now... but if it proves to be a winner Ill probably look into the bertram being made for it as long as it is not cost prohibitive...
